We would like to call attention to increased performance in “Doctor Communication” and“Service and Keeping Adults Healthy.” MPC is now rated above average “Access to Care,” “Doctor Communication and Service,” and “Care for Kids with Chronic Illness.” The Maryland Department of Health creates this yearly report card to assist consumers in choosing a Managed Care Organization (MCO) based on quality scores. The department evaluates the activities of all MCOs within the state of Maryland that care for medical assistance recipients in the HealthChoice program. The consumer report card has been developed from HEDIS®* scores, encounter data, and member satisfaction survey data.
