What is Pacify?

Pacify is a mobile app that connects pregnant and new moms with healthcare specialists focused on pregnancy and postpartum care through live video calls. In-person care is also available in some parts of Maryland.

MPC members have access to Pacify at no cost. Common topics that expectant and new moms use Pacify for include:

  • Preparing for labor
  • Birth plans
  • Recovering from birth

What Pacify Offers Members

What to Expect from a Pacify Doula

A Pacify Doula is someone trained to provide emotional, informational, and physical support to parents before, during, and after childbirth. With Doula support, you’ll feel cared for every step of the way.

What to Expect from a Pacify Lactation Consultant

A lactation consultant is trained to support parents during their infant-feeding journey. Pacify’s network of lactation consultants provides compassionate care for all feeding journeys, whether breastfeeding, pumping, or formula feeding.

How to Get Started with Pacify

  1. Download the Pacify App. Available for download at no cost on the App Store and Google Play.
  2. Make a profile. Provide your information so Pacify can better understand your needs and deliver the best personalized experience.
  3. Confirm your eligibility. Members can get Pacify for no cost; simply enter your insurance information to check your coverage.
  4. Match with your Doula. Once your profile is complete and eligibility is confirmed, click “Find my doula” to get the process started.
  5. Explore the app. Learn about the features and benefits that provide guidance through every stage of pregnancy and postpartum.

Is there a limit on the number of sessions a person can participate in?

Eligible Maryland Physicians Care members can have 8 doula care visits at no cost. Members can schedule these sessions at any time during their pregnancy and postpartum journey.

No, to fill or refill a prescription, members must contact their doctor. They can ask a Pacify care expert about specific medications they have questions or concerns about.
