MPC Launches Inaugural Laundry Day Resource Fair

Through collaboration with vendors and community partners, Maryland Physicians Care (MPC) proudly hosted its first laundry day resource fair. This event provided a valuable opportunity to raise awareness among the Maryland community and provide MPC resources. The fair was a great success, with a strong turnout and a welcoming environment for both community members and sponsors.

The MPC Laundry Day Resource Fair was held at Laundry City on Moravia Road in Baltimore. MPC representatives coordinated with vendors, gathered supplies, and ensured logistics in preparation for the event. Vendors from all over the Maryland area came together in support of the event, including:

  • Fabrics Health
  • Day Start Head Program
  • Baltimore United Rentals
  • Helping Fathers And Families Work
  • Ascension St. Agnes
  • GBMC
  • Advocate Support Services
  • Maryland Insurance Administration
  • Coaching Salute Holistic
  • Care Access
  • Family First Life
  • Maryland Healthy Smiles

The partners at Baltimore United Rentals hosted a raffle and offered detergent as a giveaway to attendees. Laundry City generously provided donuts, bagels, sweet treats, chips, water, and drinks for the community, along with the venue.

Ascension St. Agnes provided free blood pressure screenings to community members. Many attendees were unaware of the need to follow up with a doctor based on their screening results. MPC helped bridge that gap by addressing potential blood pressure concerns and offering guidance on next steps.

Care Access had a large presence at the event, drawing a crowd with complimentary health screenings and a $45 gift card. Community members were eager to participate, and their enthusiasm was matched by the support of the Social Determinants of Health representatives, who shared helpful tips on maintaining healthy eating habits.

The day offered far more than free screenings and giveaways—it was a powerful example of what community collaboration can achieve. The laundry day resource fair connected people with meaningful tools and information, reinforcing the message that their health matters. The event’s success was a testament to one simple truth: when neighbors come together, real change takes root.
