Maryland Physicians Care Invests More Than $1.4 Million to Support Community Organizations Focused on Food Security, Housing Stability, Mental Health, and Workforce Development
Maryland Physicians Care (MPC), in partnership with Holy Cross Health, announced a community investment of more than $1.4 million to support 18 nonprofit organizations working to improve food security, housing stability, mental health access, transportation, and workforce development across Maryland.
This investment reflects MPC’s continued commitment to addressing the social drivers of health that directly impact the well-being of its members and the communities they call home.
“Improving health outcomes goes beyond medical care,” said Jason Rottman, CEO of Maryland Physicians Care. “By investing in trusted community organizations, we’re helping ensure individuals and families have access to the resources they need to live healthier, more stable lives.”
Funding will support a range of initiatives, including crisis intervention services, food access programs, youth development, housing stability, transportation assistance, and healthcare education and scholarships. Organizations receiving funding include:

- Manna Food Center – $100,000
- Capital Area Food Bank – $100,000
- The Universities at Shady Grove – $100,000
- Identity, Inc. – $75,000
- Converted Heart Christian Methodist Episcopal Church – $75,000
- Montgomery County Food Council – $50,000
- Interfaith Works – $50,000
- Gaithersburg Help – $50,000
- Rainbow Place Shelter – $75,000
- Hughes United Methodist Church – $50,000
- SheRises, Inc. – $45,000
- Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation – $40,000
- Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington – Germantown Branch – $39,960
- Ivy Vine Charities – $10,000
