Maryland Physicians Care (MPC), in collaboration with the Garrett County Community Action Committee and the Garrett County Health Department, celebrated the grand opening of the 360 Access Hub, the county’s first centralized food and resource center, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in Oakland, Maryland.

Formerly known as the Garrett County Food Bank Project, the 360 Access Hub is designed to provide residents with vital food and social care resources. The facility distributes food boxes and connects community members with programs that address social determinants of health, such as workforce development and health education initiatives.

“Access to nutritious food is at the heart of strong, healthy families,” said Jason Rottman, Chief Executive Officer at Maryland Physicians Care. “In Maryland, food insecurity remains a leading concern for many families, especially in rural counties. We are proud to support the launch the 360 Access Hub in Garrett County to help ease that burden and expand access to health education, workforce development and lasting support.”

The 360 Access Hub represents a shared commitment to improving health equity and quality of life for Garrett County residents through collaboration and compassion.
