About Us

Maryland Physicians Care (MPC) is a managed care organization (MCO) administering health care services to Maryland’s Health Choice enrollees.

Founded in 1996, MPC is owned by Maryland General Health Systems, St. Agnes HealthCare, Meritus Health and Western Maryland Health System. MPC believes in helping its members make good decisions about their health through free, quality health care services.

In addition to many preventive and wellness programs, MPC offers qualifying HealthChoice recipients valuable health care benefits and services at no cost, including:
  • Doctor visits
  • No copays for prescriptions (HealthChoice enrollees only)
  • No copays for over-the-counter prescriptions
  • Dental care for adults (HealthChoice enrollees only)
  • Vision care for children and adults (HealthChoice enrollees only)
  • Immunizations
  • Lab tests, screenings and X-rays
  • Medical care coordination
